Desperation Pending

prescription medication it's your intuition to shy away from everybody
desperation's pending; lonely feelings are inside of you
and they inspire you to swear that your okay bound by this broken fate
you've gone astray all the time you wasted away
god help you see how temporary all those highs can be and unnecessary
time is currency; your too young to have all those wasted dreams to dependency
you should trust in me you deserve to be happy
and desperation's pending

Despite The Facts

coffee cups my morning weakness
and endless thoughts tear me to pieces
where were you when i needed
unaccompanied and barely breathing
i'm scared of letting go
but it's inevitable
no more digging this hole
but growth is optional
now let me talk listen to reason
i'm not your slave let me out of this prison
i'm out of my grave and god's my witness
i'm being brave saying your my weakness
please undersand my complex sickness
just one my kiss and i'm relentless

pound my knuckles hard against the floor
with my head against the wall but i did this to myself
assume it's just not worth getting back up
so i'll blame it on bad luck and i'll shake responsibilities, yeah
i spent my time in a bad place at eighteen
wishing i could see something through clear eyes
did you ever wake up and feel like
your life is meaningless did it give you strength
or lead you to an early grave
pound my knuckles hard against floor
with my head against the wall but i did this to myself
assume it's just not worth getting back up
so i'll blame it on bad luck and i'll shake responsibilities, yeah
it seems that when i ran away from my past
all my dignity, my faith, my pride got left back
now i think it's time that i realize self pity is meaningless
so while ten feet deep i'll crawl my way up out of my grave
pound my knuckles into the floor
with my head against the wall but i did this to myself
assume it's just not worth getting back up
so i'll blame it on bad luck and i'll shake responsibilities
and say the hard life did this to me

one thousands strings hold me up
and god is here at this moment
he said "son i know your worth it
here it comes revolution
hold your heart hold it high
because in time peace will rise"
the day you change the way you look at things
the things you look at change
i heard them say that he was saved by grace
and gratefully that day has finally came
